Italianate - 1259 Liberty Street Chamber of Commerce

Large double brackets supporting wide overhanging eaves proclaim this building to be Italianate in style. Those wide eaves and brackets, both imports from sunny Italy, shading the windows of Italianate structures, are the primary indicator of Italianate style. The symmetrical boxy shape, hip roof, narrow windows adorned by very simple stone headers and sills honor the Italianate origin of this building, now the home of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce.
