Italianate - 1116 Elk Street

Although the cupola atop this lovely home is common to the Italianate style, the single decorative brackets, doubled at the corners, on a wide cornice band under the the hip roof with wide overhanging eaves firmly
identify this home as Italianate.
Tall narrow sash windows topped with arched, embellished head moldings, the double front door with its curved fanlight and sidelights, tall corbelled brick chimney and single brackets supporting the wide eaves of the flat porch roof are all part of this style
