Italianate - 1328 Elk Street

This very traditional Italianate building, now the Hartle Funeral Home, displays many details common to this style such as a hip roof, corbelled chimney, peaked dormers with arched windows, wide overhanging eaves with single brackets and decorative cornice band, tall narrow sash windows with decorative moldings including rare decorative trim beneath the sills and an asymmetrical jutting bay on the right side of the structure. Slender square beveled posts support the flat pedimented porch roof with wide eaves, bearing smaller brackets on a similar, but narrower, decorative trim band.
